Hi, I’m Brandi, a former middle school language arts teacher who left public education to home school my three children. I enjoy reading, writing, singing, watching good movies, and spending quality time with my family. Recently, I discovered a love for the Latin language and enjoy studying it with my kiddos. Latinam amo! Although I’m an introvert, a stage brings out the theatrical side of me, and I’ll occasionally dress in silly costumes to tell Bible stories to children at church.
I have always had what some may call a book problem. I have more books than I have room for—and I keep accumulating more! I’ve always been my happiest when surrounded by books, especially children’s literature. You should see my office! The youth floor of my local library is one of my favorite hangouts. There is just something about all those books…those worlds…those adventures….that makes me feel at home. Mark Twain summed it up perfectly:
“In a good bookroom you feel in some mysterious way that you are absorbing the wisdom contained in all the books through your skin, without even opening them.”
