If the coronavirus has you staying in and playing it safe—or if your kids are home from school for the next few weeks—you may be wondering how you’re going to keep the little ones entertained.

It’s possible that you have already read through every picture book you own…multiple times!  That’s why this is the perfect time to take advantage of free picture books on Amazon!

That’s right!  Amazon is full of free electronic picture books to download on your free Amazon Kindle app.  You can shop Amazon’s free ebook selection by simply typing in “free picture books”, but to save you some time, I have created a list of five books I found.

(At this time, I am not an Amazon affiliate and am not receiving compensation for anything you purchase on Amazon; I am simply offering this list and information as an act of kindness. I hope it helps. Happy reading!)

Note:  You must act fast! These deals may last for a limited time only.

Dragon’s Breath by Michael Gordon

This is a fun story with pleasing illustrations and a great lesson about brushing teeth.

The Angry Dragon by Michael Gordon

In this companion book to Dragon’s Breath, we see George help his best friend Joe the Dragon deal with and overcome strong emotions such as greed and anger.

Bees Like Flowers by Rebecca Bielawski

As part of the Mummy Nature Series, this book provides a simple lesson about pollination and the honey-making process.

I Don’t Want to Eat Bugs by Rachel Branton

This is a humorous story with delightful characters and a nice, yet subtle lesson about patience.

Marie’s Big Adieu by Tamara Rittershaus—Free Only on Kindle Unlimited

This is a sweet story about moving away from a friend.  The illustrations are whimsically pleasing to the eye, and the rhyme scheme and meter are solid!  These elements, combined with strong characters and a good lesson, make this book a pure delight to read.

If you enjoy any of these books, please consider leaving reviews on Amazon. I know the authors will appreciate it tremendously.
